Kwanzaa celebrates the Nguzo Saba—seven principles that guide us toward unity, purpose, and collective responsibility. Choose90 asks us to make 90% of our online influence positive, uplifting, and constructive.

This season, we're bringing them together: a 7-day challenge that honors each principle through intentional action—both online and in your community.

This isn't about perfection. It's about purpose. It's about choosing to reflect the best of who we are, especially when the world needs it most.

Unity
To strive for and maintain unity in the family, community, nation, and race. In Choose90, this means using our platforms to build bridges, not walls—to connect rather than divide.

Kujichagulia
Self-Determination
To define ourselves, name ourselves, create for ourselves, and speak for ourselves. Choose90 empowers us to take control of our digital narrative and choose positivity intentionally.

Ujima
Collective Work & Responsibility
To build and maintain our community together and make our brothers' and sisters' problems our problems and solve them together. Every positive post is an act of community care.

Ujamaa
Cooperative Economics
To build and maintain our own stores, shops, and other businesses and to profit from them together. Support Black-owned businesses and creators, and amplify their voices online.

Purpose
To make our collective vocation the building and developing of our community in order to restore our people to their traditional greatness. Every post with purpose builds toward something greater.

Creativity
To do always as much as we can, in the way we can, in order to leave our community more beautiful and beneficial than we inherited it. Use your unique voice and creativity to inspire others.

Faith
To believe with all our heart in our people, our parents, our teachers, our leaders, and the righteousness and victory of our struggle. Have faith that your positive influence matters.

The 7-Day Kwanzaa Choose90 Challenge

Each day, focus on one principle. Complete the daily action—both online and offline—and share your commitment with your community.

How It Works

Day 1 (Umoja): Share a post that brings people together—highlight unity in your community or family.

Day 2 (Kujichagulia): Post about a goal you're setting for yourself—declare your intention to be intentional.

Day 3 (Ujima): Share a resource or offer help to someone in your community—show collective responsibility.

Day 4 (Ujamaa): Amplify a Black-owned business or creator—support cooperative economics.

Day 5 (Nia): Share your purpose or mission—what drives you to make a positive impact?

Day 6 (Kuumba): Create and share something beautiful—art, words, music, or a meaningful story.

Day 7 (Imani): Post about hope, faith, or belief in your community's future—end with inspiration.

Remember: 90% positive doesn't mean ignoring problems. It means choosing to be part of the solution.
